Ford PAS Graduating Classes of Macon County Public Schools, Alabama

We are pleased to announce the first Ford PAS Graduating Classes of Macon County Public Schools, Alabama!
Twelve Ford PAS students from Notasulga High School (Notasulga, Alabama) and 19 Ford PAS students from Booker T. Washington High School (Tuskegee, Alabama) graduated May 23 and May 24, 2006, respectively. These 31 pioneering students participated in the Ford PAS Program since its rollout in the Macon County Public Schools in January 2003.

Of these 31 students, eight students (26% of the total Ford PAS graduates) plan to matriculate at Tuskegee University, Fall 2006. Graduating Ford PAS students were recognized at each school’s Honors Night. Moreover, educational assistance awards were announced for those students planning to attend Tuskegee University (Tuskegee, Alabama), Fall 2006.
Two major educational assistance awards were given to the following students, as they will major in two of the career fields of the Ford PAS curriculum:

  • Kevin Y. (Notasulga High) will major in Mechanical Engineering. Kevin will also participate in FASTREC (http://tuskegee.edu/global/Story.asp?s=1172568) at Tuskegee University, Summer 2006.
  • Kendra R. (Booker T. Washington High) will major in Business/Marketing at Tuskegee University.
Additional educational assistance awards were given to the following Booker T. Washington High School students who will attend Tuskegee University this fall:
